Natural Life Magazine #42 - Resources for Learner-Directed Homeschooling

Natural Life Magazine #42 - Resources for Learner-Directed Homeschooling

Recommended Reading for life - For young and Old

Finding himself in a land peopled with fairy tale characters, James attempts to help Princess Dulcibel who is destined to marry a toad after her ball falls into the well.

Ages 8 to Ancient
Fantasy and Adventure, Fairy Tales

Cheesy Sci-fi but one of my all time favorites. The first of this genre I ever really read was in 6th grade at the time. Helped inspire a love of history and archaeology

Miss Suzy is a little gray squirrel who lives happily in her oak-tree home until she is chased away by some mean red squirrels. Poor Miss Suzy is very sad. But soon she finds a beautiful dollhouse and meets a band of brave toy soldiers.

How Miss Suzy and the soldiers help each other makes a gentle, old-fashioned tale that has captured the imaginations of girls and boys alike for forty years. Arnold Lobel's enchanting pictures are sure to make the kind squirrel and the gallant soldiers the everlasting friends of all who turn these pages.

A childhood favorite of mine and my children.
Young Readers - Picture book

A boy's madcap adventures as he tries to retrieve his bouncing ball are told in "lively rhyming prose. Humorous, repetitious situations will delight children. Recommended. Beginning readers - Picture book - A favorite of mine I never got to share with my children. Nice to know it is still out there

Another great beginning Reader book from my youth

The first poetry book I was ever given as a teenager. Give to me by my Aunt Wanda to whom I will always be grateful as she always picked such great books to give as presents. Great for preteen and teens.
